People don't know HOW to learn.

Yes, they do. If I was tutoring a biology student, but then I turned around and said, 'well I know you came to me fore help, but you need to figure out how to get the marks you want on your own buddy' - how would that turn out? Teachers are not obligated to strictly monitor a student's...

I know exactly how this feels.

People don't know HOW to learn.

I think it would be more correct to say that the will to be persistent is up the individual, but setting up them up with the right path is a role taken up by a teacher, ex-students, friends etc. That might be providing advice on study and revision methods (such as doing past paper questions)...

People don't know HOW to learn.

    1. Some people take longer to grasp concepts than others, depending on how difficult they find the subject to be. 2. Many students in my grade had approached the head teachers of various faculties about the poor teaching qualities. Most often than not, nothing can be done about it. There is...

Is it true that doing arts is useless- even at Usyd?

If you graduate in the B. Arts majoring in psychology, that would be the same as graduating with a B. Psychology. In both cases, whether you get a job really depends on what you want to do with your degree. E.g. Becoming a registered clinical psychologist / forensic psychologist etc. would...

Appropriate Amount of hours of sleep for a 16/17yr old ???

I think it'd be a good idea to negotiate with your parents about making your own way to school, since it's affecting your studies. Besides - you'll be in uni next year, they can't possibly still be driving you then can they?

What song do you run to?

What is enantiostasis and how is it different to homeostasis?

Biology in Focus has a pretty indepth explanation for the concept of enantiostasis - probably should check that out. Explanation for Enantiostasis: There are some organisms in nature that are confronted with extreme fluctuations in their environments - e.g. those that live in an estuary, where...

    Chemistry Questions

Re: What instrument could i use to do this? general science question. A sharp scalpel - you're not going to get the exact sizes for each piece, maybe not even close - but that's what's available in the laboratory. Maybe you could talk about how the unequal sizes due to the scalpel not being...

    Sleep vs HSC

People always joke about the whole, 'sleep is for the week', and I'll admit I used to say that in year 11 - but trust me, you do not want to be missing out on sleep. You're an idiot if you continually sacrifice your sleep to do work. The longer hours of study you are doing, and the later into...
