    The integration of e^(-x^2)

and the improper integral from -infinity to positive infinity is (pi)^1/2. is there a way to use drsoccerball's genius to find an approximation for pi?? subbing infinities into that sexy polynomial dont look so good at this moment... anybody got ideas??

    The integration of e^(-x^2)

also the basis for the many function approximations close to the origin (or any other 'centre point'), solving differential equations, proof of the fact that all functions with defined infinite derivatives can be written as an infinite polyomial... and deriving euler's formula!! this should be...

    Physics Question Help

ooooohhh thats bloody tricky see the question says force not torque. this is really important because in F=Bilsin(theta) the theta refers to the angle between the magnetic field and the current. If you look carefully, in this setup, the angle is always 90 regardless of radial or parallel field...

    Silly mistakes >:(

Yea maybe this is a stupid question but has anyone found an effective method/technique to minimise careless mistakes? One that worked for me was that I tried to fall into a rhythm when doing math and once I caught this wavelenght I could be pretty reliable. But has anyone got any other tricks...

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon - Advanced Level haha nice this one's beautiful but it still makes no sense to me--> "Look at the situation when the k’th passenger enters. Neither of the previous passengers showed any preference for the k’th seat vs. the seat of the first passenger. This in...

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon - Advanced Level One hundred people line up to board an airplane. Each has a boarding pass with assigned seat. However, the first person to board has lost his boarding pass and takes a random seat. After that, each person takes the assigned seat if it is unoccupied, and...

    100% in 4u maths?

Yo yo dudes has anyone ever scored 100% raw for 4u maths? Is it even possible?? Ive heard people get 100 for exam mark and stuff, but this doesn't necessarily mean they got 100% right? What raw mark usually scales to 100 exam mark in 4u?
