    Writing a Crime Writing Essay

There is no definite no. of quotes you should have for each text, just use as many as you feel comfortable with using. As for the quotes on genre, you should be looking at having some theorist quotes, ideally 2-3, mabye 1 for genre and 2 for crime fiction specifically.

    Biotechnology or Genetics?

Hi everyone, just want to know your opinions as to which elective is easier to study alone, as my Biology teacher can't teach the subject at all, plus its been agreed on that the elective to be taught is Communication. So I've been looking at Biotech and Genetics, so any thoughts on this would...

    Belonging Creative Writing Ideas

How bout the fractured relationship between estranged family members and friends, who discover a long-lost sense of belonging by way of shared experiences and memories? This is the central idea that I'm hoping to adopt for all my creative writing pieces, sounds cliched I know but then again...

    feedback on my belonging story?

Hey everyone, I'm posting up some of my practise creative writing pieces on belonging, so some feedback would be good cause I don't get much of it at school. Here's the first one. Thanks Standing on the platform of a train station waiting for a train that’s never on time, coupled with the...

    Hamlet Bondi Pavilion

the play completely did away with textual integrity, I mean why have a king as the leader of a bikie gang or some influential family? Why not just set the drama in the Danish royal family. Also, Hamlet and Gertrude were laughing at the death of Polonius? I'm pretty sure that didn't happen in the...

    Hamlet Values and Themes

I'm guessing core values are essentially like themes, things along the lines of loyalty, revenge, determinism/fate, all of which are evident in hamlet And yes I would know about this question cause I also go to normo

    Assessment: Report

Hey I'm just wondering what we're suppossed to write about in our report, is it just the research that we've done and the impact of the research on the composition of our major work or is there more to it? It kinda seems like a rehash of the viva voce in terms of how we're to go about composing...

Adolescent themes and cliches in belonging creative writing pieces?

Not sure if anyone's asked this before but yeah, should we steer clear of using such said cliches such as using a schoolyard setting for a creative writing piece? And should we also avoid using adolescent themes such as depression, drug abuse, suicide and the impact of anti-social behaviour such...

    Help! I'm getting writer's block!!!

I'm getting a really bad case of writer's block at the moment cause I'm not sure how to advance my story! My major work was never going to be the most innovative piece of literature, probably due to my choosing of a generic concept (character change in relation to contextual values) so could...

    Is my concept too generic???

Well I admit I'm not overly creative in the concept that I have chosen but the most important thing as I see it is to ensure that it shines through in the major work and is clearly dealt with and examined. However, I need to be more innovative in my approach though, suggestions anyone?

how many people are doing history extension in your school?

    Is my concept too generic???

So we're already like a quarter of the way down the track and I'd defs say its too late to change major work concepts, but I still can't shrug off the feeling that I've chosen something too generic and unimaginative not like what other ppl have chosen. To be honest there weren't any concepts...

    Journal Process

To answer your first question, the journal isn't actually marked by the Bos instead they may request to see the journal as evidence of the composition process if they suspect that the major work composition isn't actually the work of the student, that is if they believe the student has...

    HSC Question1

I'm readily assuming that you refer to ANY TWO sources that you have studied either at school or at home (think of them as being like related texts in english, except that they can come from the case study or sources of your own choosing)

    All history extensioners!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm Tony, I go to Normanhurst Boys High and I'm a modern historian doing my project on a topic of ancient history because I find ancient more interesting as far as a historical investigation is concerned. I'm doing a somewhat generic topic; whether the Romans did more harm than...

    Integrated or Block Essays?

The hsc markers at my school say that integrated essays are only essential for belonging questions, but with module C (conflicting perspectives, history and memory) the only other module where u need related texts block essays will still work fine, though I agree with you that if you do well...

How hard is eng ext 2??

Hahaha that's one way to approach it, but otherwise ext 2 can be hard for some, cakewalk for others but the one thing that'll get you through 4 unit is persistence and determination, or two things, you need to be able to compose a major work over a considerable length of time and keep going, you...
