hiii my raw mark last year was 92/100, but the exam was probably the most difficult one in years so the raw marks overall were a bit lower. state rank was 97 final last year, so i just missed out! :( for economics, my raw mark was 94/100 and again the paper was a bit obscure. hope that helps!

I think enoilgam is referring more to the fact that english/humanities can be a bit more subjective/less predictable, whereas maths/science subjects have one right answer and are more objective in that way.

Not an issue. You probably don't even need a ruler!!!! I think they'll forgive you if you draw free-hand graphs, you're pushed for time as it is in the HSC exams without having to sit there and draw nice neat lines haha!

Markers will recognise that some essays are more effectively written when you have a graph/diagram in it, while others do not lend themselves to the use of a diagram. For example, if you do an essay on exchange rates and do not put a diagram, then that is a bad thing as exchange rates essays...

there is no equation specifically for retained profits. however, remember that owner's equity is comprised of shareholders' funds (capital contributed) and retained profits, so if you're given any 2 of these figures, you can work back to find the missing value! hope this helps. :)
