Witnessed cheating. What do I do?

Damn. That was quick. Obviously what you did was fair and just but I think you should have given her the opportunity to come clean to the teacher herself after you have a little chat with her in private and if she refused then you should have went to the teacher. Anyway, don't let this...

Failed Half-yearlies, do i still have a chance?

Yeah definetely, seeing as your school is top 60 I'm guessing the ranks are quite competitive. I think if you are at the middle of your cohort for each subject you should meet your required ATAR but to be safe, put all your effort in this year and get the best marks in rest of assessments and HSC.

Witnessed cheating. What do I do?

First confront your friend about this. Usually in most cases, it is easy to tel if someone is lying. If you are 99% sure, go to your teacher.

You get the letter in the mail sometime before July and I think you register for an account on the site with the pin they give you.

    Need Help With Textbooks

Bio- Biology in Focus: by Glenda Chidrawi. I think it's a blue cover for prelim and red for hsc. Only negatives it doesn't have option modules. Chem- Conquerng Chemistry. Tbh, there's no reason to get ahead in year 11 prelim bio and chem (other than maybe molars, titration, some of the more...

What are your tutoring horror stories?

So only the rich can afford to go to schools and teachers mostly female would lose out their maternity leave?

Would i receive bonus marks for going to this disadvantaged school lmao ?

Well that's what happens when you have revolving door of principals and cohort that has increased threefold since 2011. MFIS used to rank highly as they managed to keep cohort sizes low and kicked out all the low-performing students in year 10. They still do that but not at the extreme lengths...

    Getting band 6 in math?

Yeah dw, I got shit marks in my 2 first assessments (high 60s to low 70s) then pulled up to high 70s and low 80s. My assessment mark was 91 and hsc mark was 92. It wasn't the marks that mattered but I was ranked 15~20/92 which helped. Obviously this all depends on the type of assessments your...

Would i receive bonus marks for going to this disadvantaged school lmao ?

Yeah it's not rank but I believed it's based primarily on schools in the inner-west region with large number of students from non-english backgrounds and families on welfare assistance.

Which unis in Sydney offer a Degree in Computer Science?

Not that it really matters but from what I gather, UNSW first year start off with C whilst others unis start of with Java. C is more advanatgeous coding language. UNSW has more industry connections and if you can apply for UNSW Co-op, take it. There are many threads on this subforum with the...

How much will a few ranks affect my hsc mark?

Well it depends on your cohort and assuming everyone is your cohort or at least the top 5~top 10 are all close in marks and doing well, you'll be fine. I wouldn't fret over Maths Ext.1 state rank, I know 2 kids who got 100 last year in HSC and were ranked first internally but never got state...

How hard is the HSC Bio exam?

notsureifsrs. Last year I did close around 30 Bio papers (half old HSC; others trials) and yet I only got a 92 in the HSC. The application questions just killers and the multiple-choice is where even the top students struggle.

Should I make notes for biology?

Prelim doesn't matter to the general scheme of things but it's good to get into good habits early. I did bio last year and I wrote my own notes which were combination of mostly my teacher's notes + Ahmad Shah Idil's revised notes. I find them easier to rote-learn as I usually simplify some of...

atar cutoff for actuarial (+combined with comp science)

I think if you can you should try Bachelor of Actuarial Studies (Co-op) which allows you to do a second major and in your case Information Systems. Although it's not computer science, I'm sure you can choose some electives similar to computer science plus there's that sweet 18K scholarship p/a...

    2016ers Chit-Chat Thread

I've only gotten my Physics half-yearly back- 78% which is goof but still like 10/42. I'm pretty sure I flunked English praying for anything above 70% and Legal i walked in all confident but lost at least 8 marks in multiple-choice and didn't finish essay conclusion so would be lucky to get...

Reason for James Ruse 1st in State and why is it not happening in other states?

My school used to... back in 2004. It's just difficult especially when the Board of Studies regulates that Year 11accelerated and 12 HSC assessments must be done at the same time and there is always that advantage of year 12 students who are familiar with the standard of the HSC exam...

    The Division... Who's playing it?

I'm playing it on PS4 (so add my PSN: baktiar77) so I need buddies, since all the Americans I matchmake with are straight retards. My only issue with the game is that enemies are all bullet-sponges. I understand why people would hate it for it's online-only even if you wanna just solo it.

Re: "Biggest leak in the history of data journalism just went live, and it's about co Anyone know if it will have any far-reaching consequences? There have been the Wikileaks, Edward Snowden leaks etc. but they all had very little effect in changing any laws.
