It's tragic but these events have occurred in Australia and Sydney more specifically in the past. I think we are fairly reputable for managing to deal with these situations as a collective well. It won't change us if we don't let it. :)

Depending on the perspective, his anti-war sentiments make sense; I personally agree with them. However his current actions are inexcusable, regardless of the possibility of him setting this up to raise awareness of Australia's involvement in the war.

We had our senior retreat this week. I was anticipating the worst, but I am so appreciative of the experience. It was honestly such a terrific experience, and it's already one of my favourite moments in -or rather outside of- school.

While I definitely did not work as hard as any of you, I still somehow managed to completely burn out and gradually crash throughout the course. I'm not sure if I will be able to pick myself up again before next year.

That's the conclusion I've drawn as well. If you focus on less subjects, you will generally have a better chance of understanding the content and achieving good marks. Then again, if an additional course is integral or an extension of another, it could be useful in its own way. My advice to...

I've heard a lot about those "safety nets" from teachers and other advisors. Is it objectively beneficial or useful, or is the notion of keeping 12 units only enforced by schools to better their image and class/exam performance?

I really haven't improved much since last year. I continue to leave major assessments up until the the last day or even hour before they are due, and I've fallen into a habit of procrastination so deeply that I lack motivation to complete simple homework tasks. Welp. :drink:
