Because people will automatically begin judging schools from the lower end of the list. It's best for 'lower performing'school to not get their ranks published
On the topic of Biology notes, I would recommend Ahmad Shah Idil's notes as a basis for your own notes. I don't do biology but I heard they were legendary.
Try peer-doc, they have a bucket load of past trials from various schools, including James Ruse. Just make an account a go to the resources section.

This gives you the number of Commonwealth supported places but doesn't give you a number for bonded places. From memory I heard the bottom 25% of offers are bonded. Hope this helps.
You could do biology seeing how your not terrible at science. And bio is just simple rote learning to an extent. But in the end it depends if your confident with science. I would recommend looking at the syllabuses for the sciences for yr11 and 12 and see if your confident at learning those...
