if you want to do something finance-y you might want to consider MQ's $10k p.a. scholarship for people doing a business degree with ATAR of 99+

I was thinking (purely from the context of the conversation 20 years ago) that CS forum was a teachers forum. I know that now days teachers have forums / groups on Yammer (basically Facebook groups) for all the teachers of each subject / faculty across the state.
I’m interested in how you stumbled across this thread. Did you type something into google (seems unlikely cause for me I can never find specific threads on BoS using google) or did you scroll really really really far down the forums page?
A big thing for me was studying at the right time of day. So I studied best by waking up at 5am and rolling out of bed straight to my desk (where I’d laid out study material the night before).
Western sydney has early entry with no written questions (based purely on yr11 results). called HSC true reward
UTS has optional written questions. called UTS edge program
Macquarie has written questions for theirs. called leaders and achievers
I think they can only get your details if you have put them as a preference (not 100% sure on this). UNSW also sent physical letters out to everyone that has them as no. 1 preference offering them a free hoodie to pick up in O-week next year
Like Jimmy said it’s implied you have >10 units so doesn’t have to count to your ATAR. So you definitely have the possibility of continuing the subject “for fun”. That’s what my mentality for doing music was (also means I can do something enjoyable - music - and call it studying).
