    Networks and Cyber Security

    Hey Everyone, I want to work with Networks and/or Cyber Security. How do I go about doing this? Can I do this through software engineering or is there a specific degree for it? Thanks

    ATAR estimation for a troubled lad

    I skimmed over your marks and didn't see that 2U Maths mark......i think you need to work on improving that especially.... I still don't think I am giving him false hope, I told him to try some past papers and see how he goes. If his getting similar marks or better (although maths needs to be...

    ATAR estimation for a troubled lad

    I don't agree with that. Considering you are coming first for majority of your subjects you control both your internal assessment mark and exam mark. Try some past papers and see what marks you are getting, if you are getting similar marks to you internal schools marks than I am fairly sure your...

    Has anyone else observed the completely changed Physics 2019 formula sheets?

    Just cut the ropes. Draw a horizontal line and there will be 4 cuts. Where the one at the end with a arrow doesn't count (unless it goes up). That is just the process, it doesn't require distances. TBH I don't know why it works but it does.

    Has anyone else observed the completely changed Physics 2019 formula sheets?

    It should be, most if not all of the cohort has probably been using it for trials and previous tasks

    Ye, the first one is easier on the eyes

    Has anyone else observed the completely changed Physics 2019 formula sheets?

    I guess it won't matter too much. 🤷‍♂️

    Has anyone else observed the completely changed Physics 2019 formula sheets?

    Ok so have no clue which one is the right one.........I never realised there were 2....

    Has anyone else observed the completely changed Physics 2019 formula sheets?

    But it does have that written on it at the top left... I'll link it again...

    Has anyone else observed the completely changed Physics 2019 formula sheets?

    I think you have confused the new and old formula sheets. I am fairly sure that the new formula sheet has the headings and split into sections. The old sheet can be found at the end of past papers such as this one (scroll to the end of the paper). I recommend you double check with your teacher...

    9.8 or 10 for engineering studies

    Hi, After doing some past papers I noticed they don't often tell you to use g=9.8m/s^2 or g=10m/s^2. In the answer's they sometimes use g=9.8m/s^2 and other times g=10m/s^2. So what should I use? Any past engineering students what did you guys use? Should I just state assuming g=xm/s^2 and go on...

    Is studying a double degree worth it?

    I am on the same boat, I have no clue if I should do Software Engineering or not (I want to do it though). SDD didn't run in my school and I didn't do IPT since it collided with another one of my subjects...

    Help engineering hsc MC questions

    load = 120 x 10 = 1200N vr = 4 (cut number of ropes) ma = load/effort = 1200/400 = 3 Efficiency = (ma/vr) x 100 = 3/4 x 100 75% ....... C

    w = Fs w = (90cos30 - 30) x 3 = 143.8kJ .......... B w = Fs where: F = force applied in direction (parallel to) of movement s = distance moved

    How do I apply KCL here?

    Did you get an answer yet? I got 1200ohms for R2, then using V=IR I got I = 36/1200 = 0.03A. I am fairly sure it is correct since if I add it with the current from the 400ohm resistor I get 120mA. I'll explain it further if it is confirmed correct or if you want a further explanation.

    Help engineering hsc MC questions

    Keep this in mind: You know the formula is stress(allowable) = stress(yield)/FoS for ductile materials Now stress(yield) is the REAL point of failure, for safety engineers will add a FOS to make sure that the maximum load does not come near to stress(yield) because there is a risk of failure...

    Help engineering hsc MC questions

    Let's do this first, Max stress = 800 MPa = 8 x 10^8 Pa diameter = 8mm = 0.008m FoS = 2 We know: Allowable Stress = Max Stress/FoS 8 X 10^8 / 2 = 4 x 10^8 Pa Stress = F/A 4 x 10^8 Pa = F/(pi x 0.004^2) F = 20106.19N F = ma 20106.19N = m x 10 m = 2000kg (roughly)

    Atar of 70+ possible?

    I don't think it will be a mystery mark. There is nothing you can do right now except working hard. I suggest you put your head down and revise/learn content for all subjects, do past papers (especially this) and the results will most likely come. Don't waste time on questions like these which...
