what are some methods i can use to learn y11 content without tutoring or textbooks or school help
this is mainly for maths and science
and not beginning with past papers / practice questions cus i need to learn the concepts first
Science Ready gave me basic notes which i used for chem (the guy also does physics), i think it helped because it was hsc specific. But i think khan academy is also good, ive never used it tho.
Took 2 weeks to do 1 module, but that was me only able to watch like 2 vids max a day with my attention span, pluss skipped days. (learning content ahead actually helped me a bUNCH, i wish i covered mod 2 while i was at it)
Lokwy you could've gone to this free procon thing, but ig you would count that as tutoring.
For math. If ur doing 2u i suggest covering yr 10 stuff and getting it down to the core (like graphing nonlinear and linear lines, trig etc). If you're alr goated at it... try learning functions or trig with the unit circle stuff cuz it tripped me tf out, unless ur good at those alr. But i feel math is a hard subject to learn without doing questions
And for methods of how to study...
do not stress urself out with this, cuz buddy i think ur in yr 10 rn. during the holidays i prolly spent an hour a day when learning the chem content... with a bunch of skipped days. take ur time understanding it, esp there's no teacher stress... enjoying learning the content is really nice and puts u in the right mindset.
methods also depends on how you would like to study, or how you alr study. I make my notes on paper for chem, and i quite like it. I wish i couldv'e spent time using anki flash cards for the memorisation stuff... but i never did cuz it takes a bunch of patience to make them which i don't have.
hope this helps, if you have any questions just ask!
