I think any of the 'bank' questions, they get from making up their own questions or using sample questions/past questions with different numbers/scenarios/contexts. I also know that they also use lots of VCE questions which are relevant to the mathematics syllibi.

vce questions were designed to be solved using their $100 graphing calculators. that's why they get less time and less marks.
graphing calculators just make people stupid

maybe SM stands for smarter maths
and EQ refers to the sample questions that nesa publishes

But I'm guessing that means that the SM questions are the ones that smartermaths writes themselves?
