Hey guys, could someone please estimate my ATAR from my unaligned raw trial marks + ranks.(I did the CSSA trial paper which I heard is harder)

Biology: 65%
Math E1: 48%
Math Adv: 75%
Eng Adv: 69%
Studies of Religion 1: 72%
Enterprise Computing (new course replacing IPT): 75%

Ranks:
Biology: 11/15
Math E1: 13/19
Math Adv: 19/36
Eng Adv: 29/35
Studies of Religion 1: 11-12/17
Enterprise Computing (new course replacing IPT): 5/15

Average for trials:
Biology: 62%
Math E1: 53%
Math Adv: 65%
Eng Adv: 70-75%
Studies of Religion 1: 74%
Enterprise Computing (new course replacing IPT): 64%

I go to a top 150 school. About 100-150 students in my cohort. We aveage around 30-40 distinguished acheivers every year.

From this information, your performance seems consistent with an ATAR in the high 70s. More specifically, that would be an ATAR of up to 78. The level of your performance varies across your subjects, although it would be reasonable to suggest that favourable HSC exam performance will be crucial for you to achieve your 85-90 ATAR goal that you mentioned in your earlier thread.

At this stage, your best-performing subjects are likely Mathematics Advanced, Studies of Religion I and Enterprise Computing. This means that they are likely to make the most significant contribution to your ATAR compared to your other subjects. It is therefore important to perform well in their HSC exams so that you can further improve their contribution.

You are performing at a slightly lower level in Biology and English Advanced, which is an indication that there are slightly more areas of improvement in these subjects than your better-performing ones. As such, you should focus on addressing them as you prepare for your HSC exams, which will hopefully allow you to improve your performance in both subjects and maximise their contribution to your ATAR.

On the other hand, Mathematics Extension 1 appears to be your lowest-performing subject. This means that it is likely the subject where there is the most room for improvement. Thorough HSC exam preparation with a focus on addressing every weakness/area of improvement will hopefully allow you to improve your performance in this subject and, by extension, its contribution to your ATAR.

I hope this helps! :D

It would be good to include band 6 information as that can help maximise the accuracy of estimates that you might receive. :)

Alright! Thank you for this. (All years have a cohort of around 100-150 ATAR students):
2024: 82 Band 6's, 37 unique Band 6 students
2023: 100 Band 6's,34 unique Band 6 students (we were in the top 10% of schools in HSC performance with 25+ students out of around a 150 person cohort to receive a 90+ ATAR)
2022: 114 Band 6's 42 unique Band 6 Students

We have an average ATAR around 80. Right now we are ranked around 140 to 150 and have been within the top 150 schools for a few years now. Also, according to my school, we are preforming better (by around 3-5%) then the 2023 cohort.

What do you define as favourable HSC Exam Preformance? Because there are my hsc exam goals:

75% in English Adv (I'm not the best at English)
80% in Math Ext
85% in Math Adv, Enterprise Computing, SOR and Biology

Or would favourable mean I need to hit raw 90s in all my exams?

Also, if I don't mind asking, how accurate would you say are your estimates based on what your estimates and peoples' real ATARs were (if they told you) cause I'm lowk surprised cause my school estimated me at around an 80-85 ATAR range haha.

Favourable performance is a level of performance that would maximise your chances of achieving your ATAR goal. Your target HSC exam marks can definitely bring you closer to an 85 ATAR, although I am not certain that they would help you guarantee it. You would likely need to perform slightly better (preferably across your subjects) to have the best chance of reaching your desired ATAR range.

How about this:

80% in English Adv
85% in Math Ext
90% in Math Adv, Enterprise Computing, SOR and Biology

I'm confident I could get these marks.

P.S. Also, wouldn't mark alignment help a bunch?

These marks would be much better and would most likely place you in your desired range. Regarding your other question, alignment is not related to ATAR calculation and does not affect your ATAR.
