You have 2 hours so you spend roughly 40 minutes on each second, so if you're doing A -> B -> C then you should have at least have 40 minutes left for Module C
Im trying not to finish with just enough time, I am aiming for 10min left but that may be unrealistic

I finished both Module A and Module B under the 40 minutes I set for myself and ended up with an hour left to do Module C, I think giving yourself a goal like that would be pretty realistic as long as you're confident with what you've prepared for the exam (bonus points if you've memorised an essay)

what mark did u get for the hsc eng for the exam if u don't mind me asking because that is pretty impressive, i think for trials i had 35 mins left for Mod C, but I ended up doing fine coz quality > quantity esp for Mod C.

I got 95 but admittedly the questions for the 2023 HSC were relatively easier than previous years. No excerpt questions, very general to the rubric and the Module C question was also pretty generic as well so it took way less time for me to adapt my essays because not a lot of tweaking and editing was needed

ok sounds good, also esp. for like good schools, are the internal assessments marked way harsher than the hsc? like obv if i perform better than trials, but is there a chance for the texts to be given better marks even if they are the same quality as what i wrote in trials? basically is hsc easier or marked less harshly in your opinion?

I would say so; I went to a school with a strict but pretty good English faculty were pretty harsh with marking but I think that helped us a lot and what helped my cohort and the ones before us bag a decent number of Band 6s when our exams went into a much more lenient marking environment. For my Module B assessment they had to re-mark everyone and give everyone higher marks I'm pretty sure cos it was an excerpt question and everyone initially performed extremely poorly. Another was when in class we were looking at the essay for our Module B text from the HSC NESA Workbook and we were all shocked to find out it was a Band 6 quality essay because we had been asked on what we would mark it based on how the faculty would and we would all say that it was around 14-15/20

lmao yea sounds about right. just gotta make sure i exceed my trials performance in the hsc, and do my best, and hopefully the markers will do their job properly. thanks!
