yes at times it can be nice when you work with the right ppl but my god am i this close 🤏 to dropping out bc of them
  1. the group work is never evenly distributed
  2. this isn't the typa thing u can do in an all-nighter, we gotta see the patients in person how tf are we gonna pass IF YALL DONT KNOW WHO THE PATIENTS EVEN ARE and im the only one who actually took time out of my day to go see who im dealing with
  3. i literally say "yep so Emma *fake name btw for privacy* looks like she needs to be referred to a prosthetist for denture consultation". them: "wait whos emma?". the patient. the patient's name is emma. they don't even know her name. we have FOUR patients to see over 2 weeks. ONLY FOUR. and they don't know any of their names. these students are 20+ btw. with children. you'd think there's maturity somewhere in their heads but no!
  4. my professor just pats me on the back and says "tough luck" after i complain which yk what, valid. what else could she do about it
  5. then I get told by one of them "hey could u just relax a bit? its not that deep" FYM ITS NOT THAT DEEP? this is 25% of my gpa for this course, and we're dealing with real ppl here im not gonna ask patients to come in on an 8pm Sunday night in the clinic just bc i was too lazy to see them beforehand r u serious??
but other than that its been great!
i hope ur all doing well 🫶

uni is chill till u have exams
NO.
Are the exams at the end of each semester? or do you have them scattered throughout
i think it depends on ur uni and ur course, like we have practical mini exams due at the end of every week that count 5% towards our final grade but i also know some midwifery students that don't get mid-sem exams tho they get examined during their placements instead of written

personally im finding the content harder bc its a bit scary when ur applying the labs to real-life cases every week, i found that the motivation to do well during my hsc was so much stronger than now tbh but its different for everyone!
