Expatriate and immigrant are different. For example if someone came here to to study but they still lived in australia they would be an expatriate, words 'ex' and ' patriotic'. However, if someone came to live permanently in aus then they would be an immigrant.

differentiation falls under calculus which is not in the year 10 curriculum
calculus is legit only in the yr11 2u syllabus at the earliest, idk if you wanna argue or combat this but it's true whether you wanna believe it or not
