if it's of any comfort, we're not studying that either and i'm in a private school, but it does look familiar (i learned it a while ago at tuition, have forgotten most of everything)

wouldn't this be differentiation? use the power rule which should give y=2x+5 then sub in your x value which is 1 which gives you the gradient of the tangent (7)
then substitute x=1 into the original equation to find the y intercept at x=1 which should be y=12 which gives you the point where the tangent touches the parabola (1,12)
then use point slope form y-y1=m(x-x1) and sub in your values
y-12=7(x-1)
y-12=7x-7
y=12+7x-7
y=7x+5
which is the equation of the tangent to the curve
and the normal is just perpendicular to that which should be y=-1/7x+5
sorry if my explanation is unclear but i checked in desmos and it looks right

History: idk how to analyse shit

English: dont understand the assignment, my teacher doesnt know how to explain the assignment n i havent finished the book yet

STEM: its group so i have to rely on other ppl

PE: its a dance assignment n my group is still deciding on verse 1 MAN WE HAVE MORE THAN JUST VERSE 1 TO MAKW A DANCE FOR

Commerce: its group n my group didnt do shit uk that i have to make a 24 slide by myself bc my team isnt doing anything n i cant tell the teacher bc she’ll mark us down for not disturbing the work equally

Math: im so behind on my hw i need to do my hw before i revise for my test

Science: got it today but its a physics test n i need to do everything else before

people doing it in yr10 are doing yr11 work early, it is NOT in the yr10 course

nah apparently our teacher intertwines a lot of advanced math topics for us to do in our studies like rn we studying non-linear relationships
