My grad ein bio is fialing right now I did so bad for it.
My plan is either do an extra year at school to get a better score and planned it out for HSC or move a differncet school and do it all over again!
give me advice and tips please im approaching HSC. I have learning disabilites (autism and adhd) my school have a plan for me to split my subject in half so (3 subject this year and 2 subject next year)
i have both adhd and autism. i used to struggle a lot with grades but ive being able to improve to averaging 90s. heres some of the stuff i did and i would recommend you do to
-if you are unmedicated for adhd, ask your doctor about medication. being medicated has had an extreme difference on my grades and motivation. i also used to take medication that lasted for 8 hours, but switched to a 12 hour one so that i can study a bit longer
-get into a study routine. start studying at the same time every single day, finish at the same time everyday. do it EVERY DAY (i dont do weekends though). do it in the same place as well, do not study on your bed. this was also very very significant in my grades improving
-i personally study about 5 hours a day, whereas most people do 3. unfortunately if you have slow processing speed like me, sometimes you need to put in more effort than others to get the same results. yea its unfair, but you just gotta push through. im not saying studying 5 hours a day, but just know that your study requirements will differ to others.
-write your own notes. writing notes can seem annoying, but it really helps a lot with memorisation, especially since youre forced to actually understand concepts to write notes in your own words. handwriting notes takes longer, but it helps a lot more with memorisation.
-if you need exam provisions, ask for them.
also keep in mind that i do low scaling subjects, meaning i have less pressure on me as compared to taking bio and what not.
