ideally WSU because its closest to home and only 5 years
UNSW I probably have a higher chance of getting in and a "better university" so good option
Newcaslte uni good too, 5 years as well and have family/friends up there
also applied to Queensland but don't really want to go

hahaha ok year 9. Pick advanced computing, doesn’t really affect me. It’s not even the degree that sucks, also the uni is just so horrible. You’ll probably end up in the same job regardless of the uni though so who cares right?

There’s way more but maybe that gives you some insight
okay and what about all the forum posts you didnt send that say all the good things about the usyd advanced comp degrees? im sure you may have done some slight cherrypicking to send that...?

Sure, people have some good things to say about the advanced computing degree, but that’s a small amount of people. That’s why I put posts from many different forums even the USYD one where may be some bias towards advanced computing. The main complaints people have about UNSW computer science is the trimesters and the difficulty of the course. As I said, you’ll end up in the same job and the content is basically the same and you’re not at a disadvantage when it comes to applying for internships. Just know that USYD is only good for social sciences and law, and UNSW is top tier for stem, it’s been like that for years 🤷‍♂️
But what is the 'badness' of the course based on 😭

I'm sure USYD is absolutely fine!!! Although @sheppy123 does have a point in that usyd doesn't really hold up to it's 'high standards' as it does with their expectations in the students they choose for their courses. All in all I think at the end of the day, as long as you get your degree, there's nothing really to stress about.
Bro stfu the man has spoken, once someone gives u 20 links its time to admit defeat. My confirmation bias has been satisfied.

Honestly. I'd be fine with going to any uni lol. Whilst there are 20 links, I mean... some are from 2018..... How does that suffice as evidence that the course is bad currently? + USYD must be doing something well as they still ranked relatively high.

Usyd hasn’t changed a single bit. Their computer science course has been dogshit for 5+ years. They still haven’t changed that you have to write your code on paper…..
💀 😭 Dude it still guarantees a degree at the end of it... its 5 years and you're out man. Is writting that difficult though? I know its kind of tedious given all of this then needs to be transposed back into a computer, but I'd say it'd be pretty helpful to memorise certain aspects of code
