I have marked hsc 4times . We have never ever been told to consider word count nor have we ever been been given instructions that it will decide marks

what about number of paragraphs cause initially I was gonna do two paragraphs but changed to three last minute.

Always try to get mine to just under 1k words. Gives you time to add in stuff that answers the question on top of your pre-written essay.
