yeah thats what i was thinking... old syl was more focussed on nephrons cos it had heavier content focus on details of kidney function. because syllabus change is still somewhat recent (with only like 4yrs of new past papers), some schools still teach the a few details of nephrons just in case. though i dont think we need to know them in detailed levels like in pre 2019.

apparently according to my teacher who used to hsc mark, we don't need to know much specific detail about them and their structure, but we might be given a diagram or two in a stimulus and need to analyse it and draw conclusions

you basically just need to understand that they're the key functional unit of the kidney and required for any sort of filtration
