how does one appreciate life if there is no death?
By having fun with others. Death is a separation. Sure, the rarity of events dwindles, but people think in different ways to how you would for example, so there is never a means of exhausting communication.
If you're introverted, your dreams of watching anime all day and talking to no one (like me in a way) would be made possible.
Extraverts also get it good, as seen in the previously mentioned points.

I'm actually laughing thinking about how you guys must be wondering what my normal shower thoughts are like!
They are pretty intense, I have to admit.

Not really. Everyone has these thoughts but the only difference is that we only get a good laugh or story out of it whereas you're trying to make it a reality? On a serious note, I don't think its wrong to have big dreams - after all there have been people who have done the impossible but perhaps you might want to focus on the smaller details such as... say... graduating high school? You might realise as you get older that this was really embarassing, or maybe you won't. But for now everyone's just trolling. Keep this for your Mod C idea, you might become those really weird eccentric teachers that everyone trolls in class but secretly likes. You remind me a lot of one of my teacher whose just like u lmao we roast each other time to time but we're cool

Um. I don't think living forever would equal doing whatever you want forever. You'd probably be working forever to provide for the population... the population will continue to grow as there is no death.

yaaa exactly
the world would become over-populated unless people stopped conceiving (which is unlikely).
@Blank
maybe you should have a look at the theory of parallel universes (which i personally don’t believe we can access)
but it’s a couple of degrees more plausible

although i do see the appeal of immortaliy, this world would bore us to death so we’d all just kill ourselves

Fun. That's the meaning of life.
I find fun in discovering new things. After I learn everything, I'll just 'shut down' and see what God has in store for me.
Aaah I see. You plan on seeking knowledge until you're satisfied?

Lol, it is pretty intense. But since we're on the topic of consciousness and stuff, here's a shower thought for you all.

We commonly like to think that our mind and body are separate. That, we have a soul in our physical body. But, all our emotions and thoughts that make up our consciousness is really just a bunch of chemicals and neurons doing stuff in our brain. The interesting thing is that computers can understand these patterns quite well, and can more or less predict what you've thought in the past, what you're thinking now, and what you'll think in the future. And so, [Blank] might not be completely off with his shower thought. Perhaps we can really replicate the exact patterns of chemical and neuron activity in our brain onto a computer.

But hey, that's just a theory, a game theory!

That sounds far more reasonable and is probably close to discovery as well (maybe idk). But like making people live forever is kinda ridiculous.

Maybe this is a real lifegoal that you are set for, maybe this is a somekind of Chuunibyou idea that you just came up with playing Nier. Neither matters. Before starting any life goals, especially any life goal that consists such of a grand narrative, you need to start focusing on your present. You are a student, especially a high school student. Your ideas might change frequently, years, months, weeks, days or sometimes even minutes. As such it is important for you to focus on the present life that you are experiencing now. The goal of an "Immortality Generation" is a grand narrative that is too big for most people to bear as their life goal, not to mention that you are still a highschool student. What you need to do now, is focusing on school, your family, your friends, only consider this life goal as a minor one second to your present life. It is only when you have enough taste of life that you can consider something like that, also you're not going to be able to bear such a big grand narrative by yourself.

I have to admit, it was definitely overwhelming.
I’m currently working towards my medium-term goals instead that contribute to my idea for immortality, which is so far programming.
Sure, I have school, but it’s not going to help me in the medium or long term, so why should it be in my short?
That’s why I’ve stopped studying highschool for the past few weeks.
I’ve been learning C++ instead.
Don’t worry, I already got early entry.
The reason why I’m back is because my two favourite references are in this chat after being told to my friend @Hivaclibtibcharkwa .
The two references are of course ‘[ ]’ and ‘Sung Jin-Woo’.
These two stories have helped me grow fast in my slowest of times. Making my fast times painfully comprehensive. I’m not joking, I feel sick from over thinking.
