I went to school thinking that my modern history exam was still on, they told me that exams are postponed. now I am doing online work in a classroom when I could of been doing it at home

Exams are not necessarily postponed; note that the health advice is that it is safe to go to school. Schools can require students to attend insofar as the schools are open.

The reason that students at encouraged to stay home in NSW, or the reason so claimed, is that it is “impractical” to simultaneously hold online and in school classes, and it applies only to lessons. There is no issue of “practicality” for sitting exams, as they cannot be coordinated from home. In spite of this, I do know that the majority of schools have suspended assessments for the time being.
