What would happen to your HSC mark if your internal is 80s while external is 90s (2 Viewers)

I was just wondering what would happen to your final HSC mark if you did quite horrible on your internal assessments resulting in 80s and pulled yourself together to receive around 90-95 for external HSC. Would BOSTES still add both and average them? Say it was 86 and 94, you would get a (86+94)/2 = 90???

In close-enough terms, your internal 86 will be moderated up or down by the ratio of your subject cohort's total exam mark over total internal mark. So if these two totals are similar then yes you would get a (86+94)/2 = 90.
