I drew 3. One control - distilled water, one with the tablet, one with no tablet. Then drew microbes on the one with no tablet.

What did people get for the diagram of the cell - pathogen???
same except my control was just a plain agar plate and pathogen = fungus cause cell wall

Do cataracts count for visual accommodation
No lol..HAHAHA

all you had to do was pick Myiopia or Hyperopia
Then talk about what accomidation was and how your chosen disease occurs.
Then talk about hte scientific knowledge that is used to fix it (glasses(be specific), laser shit).
And then the benefits to society.

I didn't get to finish this part of my response though

at a rank 107th school we found it easy, but im dissapointed in myself for not doingg better.

Should have finished that 7 marker on comunication..it was soo easy.

And realised i made another mistake in multiple choice so i only got 17/20
The MC is killing me. I'm realising how many I fucked up by looking at this thread + fb lol. I also know I stuffed up the 1 mark dna replication question lol. Should've done MC last!!!! I got overconfident from past papers and thought it was going to be a breeze, but tooO much uncertainty.

Also I was sitting there trying to remember if plasma has clotting properties anD IT DOES. God damn it. I was going to write that but then changed it for oxygen and haemoglobin which is wrong.

Shit..

I only drew TWO.

One with Agar and creek water, and it grew bacteria.
One with Agar, creek water AND tablet shit ---> didn't grow bacteria.

forgot to draw control, was gonna come back to it but i ran out of time

Plasma doesn't contain cellular components so the extra haemoglobin/O2 wouldn't necessarily be relevant but you're right about antibodies [which is what I think they wanted in the response] + also to increase blood volume I think
I also mentioned that plasma is responsible for clotting which reduced blood loss

Do cataracts count for visual accommodation
not too sure as it clearly stated "visual accommodation" = accommodation means the focusing of lens at different distances brought about changing convexity as Cataracts is the clouding of the normally clear lens :(((

Wait. Does plasma contain platelets if it clots?

No but it has "clotting factors"

edit: see this is what confused me, I remember seeing 'clotting factors' or whatever in the plasma in my notes, but remember platelets are not in the plasma.

i didn't.

I only drew two. I didn't take into account the agar could have been infected.
I'm definitely gonna get punished
Do you think I'll lose a mark for making my control agar plate + distilled water??? I added that because I remember this experiment in my notes and that's what they did.

but using plate w/o treated water is control...indicative that bacteria was present in the sample + that the results of the independent variable are valid [that the tablet destroyed the bacteria]

Probably not because the point of the control was to just show that bacteria hadn't contaminated the agar and distilled water still shows that
