Thought I would post here and not in the HSC Exam thoughts forum because this discussion may be useful for 2016ers.

#8, there are arguments for and against a requirements report and feasibility study report.

Does anyone have any thoughts on WHY the answer would be a specific one?

(I'll explain what I think later - don't want to "brainwash" anyone...)

update: looks like it ended up in this forum anyway haha

Ah didn't know the already put the exams up but yeah, after reading the question again, I realise more how stupid it is lol.

A and D could be an answer for the "time frame of the project", but the rest don't match with gantt chart
B could be the answer for the "purpose of the upgrade"
C could be the answer for the "analysis of the existing system"

One thing I didn't notice at the top was 'a review for upgrading the system...'

This gives it away as feasibility I think?

It might be requirements report as that's built AFTER the requirements prototype so the report can also be used to review the system?

Eliminating the obvious-
a) Gantt chart is just a project timeline so won't help with this.

Isn't it a requirements report?

c) Feasibility Study is whether something is possible

Therefore for me it's either b) or d). I think the logical answer would be b) as a requirements report is what people actually want in terms of features, cost, price, etc vs their current system... but then a communications management plan could include those things for the purpose of detailing the purpose of the upgrade, analysis, etc...

In terms of something being possible, that's where the 'considering upgrading' bit fits in...

By the way, this is from the syllabus:

interpret a requirements report which
includes:
– the purpose of the systems
– an analysis of an existing system
– definition of extra requirements

This is also from the syllabus:

the requirements report that:
– details the time frame
– details the subprojects and the time
frame for them
– identifies participants
– identifies relevant information
technology
– identifies data/information
– identifies the needs of users

Ah yup, hadn't heard of the first part being in the syllabus but now that I think of it it did come up in 2 different areas.

Oh well, still got 18/20 on MC so I'm fine with that :)

Time to move on from this now and focus on other things haha
