Its like with the technique of intertextual referencing/references where the composer quotes something from another text within their own text

Intros should generally be longer, especially as that's essentially the only part of the essay the HSC English markers read seriously.

They basically mentally form an opinion of what mark an essay's worth based on reading the intro.
