13 years of education. Learning 1+1. Learning how to multiple and divide. Learning about algebra. Learning about fractions. Learning about rates. Learning how to think. Studying weeks before exams. Doing Hsc a year early. Picking up extension 1 maths. Then picking up extension 2. The experience was universal for everyone in my class except for one. The teacher who with his decades of experience teaching us all about maths and its trivial problems. However, today was different. Having finished all the content the teacher decided to show us what 13 years of mathematical education leads to. He preloaded videos and smiled. He let the video speak for itself... The man spoke nonsense. Everyone in the class looked around awkwardly as my teacher was ready to cry. You could here the joy in his voice and it almost made you cry as well. He pointed at the board with a sound of sadness and showed us that the whole 13 years of experience was just to show us that ...

As this uses a result that is beyond the scope of the syllabus, you would be treading on thin ice if you tried this in an exam.
I wasn't showing it as an alternative HSC approach, just something fun outside the syllabus related to something fun outside the syllabus that Drsoccerball's teacher apparently showed their class (Euler's Formula).

Yes, I've done the same. I'm now trying to recall whether I have any soccer fanatics in my class who want to go into medicine.
