is qn 8 right? any1 help me out for qn 9 and 10?

Q8. Nope, try chain rule
Q9. Try $y=\sqrt{\sqrt{x}+4}\Rightarrow y=(x^{\frac{1}{2}}+4)^{\frac{1}{2}$
Q10.Try $y=12\sqrt{x+20}\Rightarrow y=12(x+20)^\frac{1}{2}$

He actually DID differentiate the first one correctly, although something went wrong with the simplification.

But yes, there is a definite weakness there in the algebraic skills.
