A friend of mine told me that your ATAR goes away after 2 years and universities use your GPA/WAM instead as an "atar" cutoff
I'm specifically talking about UWS Medicine, as a GWS student I only need 93.5, my atar is 98.4

If I continue 2015 at USYD Engineering and do well in UMAT, will UWS look at my ATAR or look at my GPA/WAM?

I'm not sure how Medicine works but for any other transfer, it's usually 50/50 GPA or WAM/ATAR after one year then afterwards, it's 100% WAM/GPA.

I'll let people who actually know about Medicine answer on your thread though.
bump for my friend sy <3

as long as you get above 93.5, and you haven't finished a university degree, you'll be fine. (i.e. you've met the academic threshold)

They take whichever one is highest (ATAR/WAM/GPA) or reaches the threshold.
Because ultimately they rank the spots based on your UMAT score, not your marks.
Ahh ok thank you :^D

That put a lot off my mind
