HELP! Does my proofing steps work for this? (1 Viewer)

To prove : Triangle ABC is isosceles given that AD and BE are angle bisectors, AD = BE

My Proof:

angles EAD and DAB = x ( AD bisects the angle A)
angles DBE and EBA = y (EB bisects the angle B)

and since AD = EB Given
AB = AB (common)
Does that mean x and y are equal because the they are between to corresponding sides (SAS??)

That is an invalid proof, the triangles ADB and ABE are congruent if x = y, which is something you need to prove first

If you can prove triangles ADB and ABE are congruent without using x = y (such as proving BD = AE), then you can conclude x = y which would be a valid proof.
