Can you use 3u methods to solve 2u questions? Would you be deducted marks if you came to the right conclusion but like in 2-3 lines using 3u methods as opposed to using 2u methods?

Thanks, just wanted to know as a headsup for the upcoming 2u exam

Normally the HSC questions are designed such that these situations don't happen.

this!

same goes with 3U. 3U HSC is generally written such that it prevents 4U students from implementing such an unfair advantage of being able to utilise a much quicker method that is only taught in 4U.

You can but if you make any mistake, even a silly you will get 0 rather than a portion of the mark.

Nonono if you make a mistake then say gg no re. You will get 0 instead of 1/2 a mark or whatever. This applies to physics as well with 3U.

Umm, why would you use maths in physics?

Why would you use 3u for physics projectile when you can just use the formulas?
Well you can but some people are rebellious I guess, that's the only word I can think of atm.

because people generally learn 3U projectile motion after learning topic 1 - space. so they tend to use the most recently learnt method (since they can remember it better), which will have been practiced more probably. so that's why....
