Someone explain rank 1 internal effect on marks pretty please cherry on top (1 Viewer)

Im rank 1/90 in maths with a score of 95/100

Does that mean i automatically get the top marks for both hsc and internal ? (i.e. i don't have to try)

or is it i only get the highest external mark as my internal and the hsc mark is still up to me (i.e. only get a free internal mark but have to do hsc)
