For the start of my HSC year I am doing the following subjects:

-Mathematics
-English Advanced
-Chemistry
-Biology
-Legal Studies
-Geography

I was wondering if anybody may be able to make some recommendations as to the best and/or most essential resources (text books etc.) to purchase for the aforementioned subjects, and also, possibly the best place to purchase from? Any help is extremely appreciated.

:)

For chemistry:
get Jacaranda 2 and Conquering Chem (I have .pdf of both??)
plus I use a large collection of other people's notes (mostly based on one of the two)

For maths:
Fitzpatrick is good, but all the hard questions in the old versions are the first couple.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAAH

OP please do NOT use maths in focus or english in focus as it results in trauma. No seriously those books are shit. Use cambridge for maths and you don mt need a textbook for engsligh.

-Mathematics - fitzpatrick 2U and 3U (also cambridge if doing 3U)
-English Advanced - <<<Do we even have books for this sh*t? lol
-Chemistry - I used spotlight chem, but recommend jacaranda and conquering (probs the two best books).
-Biology - Biology in focus and Jacaranda HSC bio (using this one atm)
-Legal Studies - Pearson HSC or cambridge one (currently using this one).

Mathematics - Cambridge
English advanced - read your texts at least twice (once before you start learning it, and second time after you have gone through it to find new evidence/insights)
Chemistry - I heard Conquering Chemistry is good, but I don't do chemistry
Biology - Biology in Focus (written by the same guy who wrote Conquering Chemistry)

Wait until the graduating year 12s are selling their things after HSC, its usually a lot cheaper than buying them through retail, etc.
