wait what if you go to a crappy school and the people above you are good but then people at the bottom are getting like 5 - 10%??
If the top are good and you're ranked 1-2 marks away, your marks would be part of that group. You should only worry when you're in the middle.

That's still considered top end, you only need to worry about the person above and below you tbh. If both get 95+ for example then you're assessment mark should not be lower than your exam mark (Which is the most important thing).

Yes you have a really good internal rank for English, but you have 50% remaining :p Nah I think overall our cohort is like fluctuating, there are some people who are really really good (RD :D ) but overall not too great. The reason I say this is because I think I did fairly well in English, and the first time I actually wrote an essay ever was in year 11.. so that makes me think that overall we aren't too great tbh

I agree with chem being strong, potentially stronger than last years. no idea about eco, though I hear the accelerants are pretty beast. 3u I think top 140 or so ranks will do okay (i.e. Band6+) because marks are really clumped up together. Its when you start to get lower than that that it gets weaker, though I reckon there still might be like 20ish people on 88 or 89

Bio is apparently very well performing this year, modern is like really good (which is why I chickened out and dropped in year 11), so is legal.

Phys... :( we have some really good people (you included) and like they're stand out good, but its like an extremity where everyone else is much lower. so yeah not too great :/
Well, not all of us go to top schools sir.

I screwed up internals and now it's coming back to haunt me :((
Realistically I think 1st and second can get 94-95. there's like 3 people on 3rd then me.

nahh mate, every year we usually get 0-2 b6 in chem lol. I just think this year's top 2 are quite good.
Legit we probs get like 8 b5, 3b4 and then 20 b1-3s lol

LOL sir

Nah I was just saying about the cohorts in general. In the end, it really comes down to individual performance. A top rank in a not so good school can often be better than a mediocre rank in a 'top' school
Yea, but not all of us are the top students like you. The difference between top and not so good schools is simply that not so good schools have dropkicks that do the hsc for the lols and drag people down.

fkin hate these fgts. sorry but like it's really not fair. There are loads of people who deserve b6 that don't get it at crappy schools.

I understand what you're saying but the 'dropkicks' shouldn't affect you anyway provided you're ranked high enough, and in that sense I think the system is fair.

It doesn't matter man, school is over and it all comes down to you know. If it means anything I used to go to a school ranked in the 60-70s and I feel that I would have probably done better overall there, atar wise
True, i'm ranked only 5th and I probs deserve it since I only study chem by memorising the answers. Thus, I should not deserve the top assessment mark. However, I do not deserve my HSC mark to be lower than my Exam mark which is a disadvantage of going to a bad school not ranked 1st.

I'd be happy with 89 tbh. 89 in science is worth better than most low band 6 subjects.

yeah that's for sure. I'm worried that it's gonna be like

internal assessment mark: 48
exam mark: 90
final hsc mark thing: 69 fml

No, it will not that bad considering you are literally only 3-5 marks away from the top student.
More like this:
Assessment mark: 88
Exam mark: 90
Hsc mark: 89 Burrrrrnnnn

Hahaha it won't be like that. Your internal assessment and exam marks tends to be close. There won't be a significant difference.

Now someone answer my question:p previous page, AAS.
