What are the best preliminary textbooks for extension math in your opinion and why?

cambridge , don't use maths in focus, you will get murdered by enigma

Maths in focus is the best
Cambridge seems to be highly regarded by this forum

Fitzpatrick IMO especially the newer ones provide the best then would be Cambridge DO NOT use math in focus or as astroman said, enigma will murder you. You have been warned :)

Cambridge or Fitzpatrick. MIF should be use if you absolutely don't understand a concept since it does act as a foundation for your understanding in maths

Cambridge..

Maths in Focus..is a good book BUT only for General Study.. like when u first learning the topic. But for practicing topics Cambridge because they are challenging and good for the HSC..

Trust me because I did Maths in Focus the whole year and I suffered...

Tbh, if you have an excellent teacher, just do past papers. I haven't really touched any textbook tbh :)
