The rule is that the number of
decimal places in pH is the SAME as the number of
significant figures in the H+ concentration.
Since in the question, there are 3 sig figs in the H+ concentration given to you, you calculate the pH which is 1.266802735 and then get the SAME NUMBER OF DECIMAL PLACES as the concentration, so to THREE decimal places.
Hence the answer is 1.267 so B.

It's a useless rule but avoid losing marks on stuff like this.
