So from the beginning of year 11, every single exam, I study for it the night before,and end up having shitloads left then I regret it and say that's it next time I'm gonna do it earlier... Now we're doing our assessment tasks before our trials and I'm still on the same habits, anyway I've been getting extremely bad marks from when I started year 12 till now , were doing our last assessments tasks, actually we have one more for some subjects before our trials , and the ones I'm doing now I'm also doing read bad.. I know that this sounds dumb but I don't know like if I actually put as much effort as I can, can I get possibly get the 95 ? I don't really need the 95 I need an 82 But maybe I changed my mind for another course.. So if I've been getting bad from the beginning would the trials+hsc+assessment tasks(not for all subjects) be enough to get an 90 ? Because I'm really worrying about this .... Thanks

If you actually provided adequate information people would answer. Random people on the internet have no idea of your academic capabilities, your ranks, school rank and your cohort strength so saying that you could get 95 has no validity behind it.

How long is a piece of string?

Rankings are derived from your whole year 12 performance, meaning that every single weighted assessment you have sat in year 12 will contribute to your overall rank in each respective subject. Obviously going well in your trials will help your internal performance but it will not save you if you've bombed out throughout the year. Remember ranks only contribute to your internal marks (derived from cohort external performance), having a strong external performance could potentially compensate for a poor internal mark.

btw, your internal mark isn't your school assessments added together and divided.

What you probably want to hear right now is someone reassuring you that if you work harder from now, you'll have a good chance of achieving 95+. Which is partially true. But truth of the matter is that if you don't put in the hard yards, then you shouldn't really expect a big result. That sounds harsh, but trust me I'm reminding myself before you because I have a very similar problem of putting everything off to the last minute

However, having said that, it's obviously not TOO late. If you smash your trials, remaining assessments and HSC exam then it'll surely pay off so long as your ranking's improved by a lot. We gotta be serious from now and not procrastinate like we have been previously. Think about it man, all these 12, nearly 13 years of going to school has led up to these mere 4-5 remaining months. If we push ourselves for ONLY 5 months, we can relax our entire lifetime knowing we got what we wanted (hopefully)
So to answer your question, no, it probably isn't too late to get 95+ ONLY IF you can drastically improve your rankings within this short time (which can be possible). Stay positive and go for it. Even if you don't get 95+ and you worked hard, you'll land yourself somewhere you can be proud of. Good luck.

We need more information because your question is too vague - "I'm doing bad, can I still get 95+" is meaningless to us because "bad" could mean anything. You would need to provide us with your internal ranks and a school rank.

Speaking very generally, the trials and HSC are usually worth around 70% of your final mark, so a comeback is definitely possible purely from a mathematical perspective. However, from a human perspective it is much less likely. Doing well in the HSC is about consistency, if you have been lazy or struggling with the work, then it is unlikely that you are magically going to turn things around. Forming good study habits and methodologies takes time. Besides, if you are doing poorly then it is fair to assume that your knowledge has gaps which will need to be addressed. This will add to your workload and make it even more difficult to manage, which is compounded by the fact that you dont have study habits.

I dont mean to say it is impossible because it isnt, but you have to be realistic. You have your work cut out for you and it is definitely easier said than done - many people come on BoS saying "I have stuffed up for the whole year, but I'll work my butt off for trials/HSC". Few actually manage to get it done.

Maths(advanced) 39/100 91/110
physics 33/100 60/66

English 11/20
Ipt 80/120
maths probably 30 something/100
physics ( cant remember)
sdd (also cant remember)..ill be looking between my sheets for these ones

For last assessment tasks(only got maths, but pretty sure failed most of em)
Maths 43/100

so basically all i have left now is trials and hsc... people are saying trials are really hard so thats gonna be another screw up.. so is there any possibility and btw tbh i need an 82% atar not 95.. but i was just going higher incase
