Projected Round 4 (1) - Djokovic v Tsonga.

Will be interesting. Tsonga's most deadliest surface is arguably grass and Djokovic's weakest surface (relative to his clay and HC abilities). However, Djokovic crushed Tsonga at RG.

Djokovic definitely the favourite in this encounter but who knows... Tsonga might do some damage.

Projected Round 4 (2) - Berdych v Gulbis

Gulbis upset Berdych in straight sets at RG recently... but on grass, Gulbis' extended motion on the forehand will be a greater liability... Berdych is the favourite by seeding but I think you can argue the case for Gulbis too.

I say both have equal chances at each other.

Projected Round 4 (3) - Murray v Fognini.

Murray should ease through. This isn't clay where Fognini can do the damage.

Projected Round 4 (4) - Ferrer v Dimitrov.

Dimitrov is in great grass court form - considering his win in Queens2014. However, Ferrer is more experienced (but Ferrer's weakest surface is definitely grass).

I say Dimitrov might be the favourite in this encounter but Ferrer is the favourite according to seedings.

Projected Round 4 (5) - Wawrinka v Isner.

Assuming both Wawrinka and Isner even survive up until the 4th round... Wawrinka has lost in the 1st round of Wimbledon in the last two years and his best appearance ever was a 4th round at Wimbledon...

Wawrinka is the favourite by seeding.

Projected Round 4 (6) - Federer v Janowicz.

Federer might be vulnerable in the earlier matches but assuming all goes fine, he should beat Janowicz or whoever awaits in the 4th round. Federer is in great grass court form after defending his Halle title.

Projected Round 4 (7) - Raonic v Nishikori.

The duel between the young guns. Raonic's serve on grass is a bigger weapon but his movement becomes a bigger liability. Nishikori showed decent grass form as he got to the Halle SFs (loss to Federer). Assuming both survive, I give advantage to Nishikori :)

Projected Round 4 (8) - Nadal v Gasquet.

Nadal might not even escape the first week (as shown in his 2nd round loss in 2012 and 1st round loss in 2013). Klizan in the 1st round. And guess who he will most likely meet in the 2nd round? ROSOL (the person who stunned Nadal in the 2nd round of Wimbledon 2012... and Federer went onto win Wimbledon that year). After that, he faces big serving Ivo Karlovic (and we saw what happened to Nadal when he faced big serving Dustin Brown in the 2nd round of Halle14).

Assuming he survives (he is more dangerous on grass in the 2nd week), he is undefeated against his pigeon Gasquet. He can easily beat the young gun (either Raonic or Nishikori) then he'll face his slam pigeon Federer in the semis most likely. Key for Nadal is to survive the 1st week.

PROJECTED QUARTERS ACCORDING TO SEEDINGS
Djokovic v Berdych
Murray v Ferrer

Federer v Wawrinka
Nadal v Raonic

Berdych is Djokovic's pigeon but one of Tomas' wins against Novak was Wimbledon 2010 semis (on grass). Still, Djokovic is the favourite. It seems like Djokovic is a lock for Wimbledon semis.

Ferrer only beats Murray on clay and has some chance on HC. On grass? Murray is pretty much a lock.

Neither Federer or Wawrinka are locks for SF (they will be vulnerable earlier on) but should they meet - I give Roger the edge (he's the better grass player) despite Wawrinka's win over him in Monte Carlo.

Nadal is the most vulnerable in the first week. He is nowhere near a lock for SFs.

Djokovic v Murray in 1 SF --> this will be a blockbuster.

Federer? v Nadal? in other SF --> yeah.... Federer will most likely fold (even with a 2-1 grass H2H against Nadal) but Nadal might not even survive until then.

Toughest draw? Djokovic.

Easiest draw? Either Federer or Nadal. Both have favourable draws ON PAPER.

This one is wide open tbh so I can't predict the champion and the runner up.

In one half - the top dogs are vulnerable earlier on (i.e. Federer, Wawrinka and Nadal).

The other half - I expect Djokovic or Murray to make it all the way to the final. Even if one of them gets upset (probably Murray since he lost earlier in Queens to Stephanek and has had shit form this year - except RG), the other one should survive to the finals.

According to betting odds, DJOKOVIC is the favourite to be crowned champion. But Djokovic has been losing so many slam finals.... He's won like 1 of the last 9 grand slams iirc despite making so many SFs and Fs...

Djokovic is consistent in making it far but he isn't a favourite on grass against Murray/Nadal/Federer (these three are the better grass court players if they were playing on a good level).

Other elements --> Nadal's back isn't 100%, Djokovic's wrist rumours (after withdrawing from Boodles), Murray's questionable form and Federer is old.

Dark horses?

Dimitrov, Gulbis, Nishikori and Berdych for me.

''A new star is born''

It's been awhile since a teenager has pulled off a massive upset.

The reigning French Open champion is out, once again.

Men's quarters:

Djokovic v Cilic.

Cilic is dangerous on grass.

Murray v Dimitrov.

Queens champion of 2013 and reigning Wimbledon champion up against Queens champion of 2014.

Federer v Wawrinka.

Swiss affair.

Raonic v Kyrgios

Two youngsters with big serves.

Will be a big day today.
