Yes Seremify007, we are asked to spread the word. It is an incredible opportunity, and we'd hate to see students miss out just because they didn't know.

However, posting on the bos forums has been my own intiative, as I know that threads like these have helped me a great deal in the past when applying and preparing for interviews for coop and cadetship programs. I'm indebted to the bos community for the extraordinary amount of help it has given me, and would love to return the favour.

The closing dates for applications to the 2015 Intake of the Bachelor of Accounting course Round 1 is:

NOTE** There is a 2nd round with a due date of Friday 24th of October so its never to late to consider BAcc as a strong business option for your future.

Extra curricula's are important and highly valued by the BAcc program as they are looking for a strong, well rounded applicant. So if you are to get an interview do express your interests and core values so that we can gain further insight into what kind of candidate you are.

UTS. They call it Bachelor of Accounting, UNSW is just Accounting/Finance/etc.. Co-op

Bachelor of Accounting Scholarship UTS 2015

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you guys have got a conditional offer pending atar, got on the reserve list or got rejected; as emails got sent out today regarding whether you made it or not. Please tell me if you did or didn't as I am interested in how others went and how many people got a guaranteed spot.

Also, are there any current or past Bachelor of Accounting students on BOS. If so, can you please tell me about how you got in, if you got the required atar of 95, how good the course actually is and if you regret doing it etc.

I was also wondering what was the atar range for peopl who get into the course as I am expecting a 93-95 and I am not sure if I will get in as it says you need a 95 for a guaranteed spot. If you heard of anyone with an atar below the cut off, did they eventually get in?

Moreover, I was wondering if anyone can give me a list of positives and negatives of getting into this scholarship.

As far as I know the 95 ATAR requirement isn't absolutely must have but it's really dependent on your application considered as a whole. That is, I know some people in the past who didn't meet the ATAR cut off but in subsequent years, this program has become pretty competitive!

Hey seremify, you seem to know quite a lot about accounting and in particular, the BAcc program.

I read somewhere that you said if an individual is unsure of what path in accounting to take, then a co-op program would be a good option (over a cadetship).
How do you rate UTS Co-op vs UNSW Co-op for accounting?
Also, what's the career progression like - commercial/industry versus big 4?
