It's not too early to learn it in year 10 if you are capable

no, I learnt it in year 10 I think, and it's fun revision when you relearn it at school :p

Like others have said, its fine as long as you are capable of learning it and can understand it.

No what? I don't go to ruse and I learnt calculus in year 11...It's usually taught in yr11 and in yr 12 comes geo applications and integration.

I learnt calculus this year. Nothing wrong with learning it too early - as long as you are capable, it'll be good to get a headstart.

Of course it's not too early - provided you have a firm grasp on the basics, then you'll do fine :)

Yeah, its definitely not too early. I've done a bit of differentiation too :)

No problem with that, as long as you're coping well with the Year 10 Maths component.

I find it pretty easy and I find that the year 10 math is too easy compared to year 11 2u

No they aren't...
This.

You don't need anything to learn basic differentiation and integration.

You only need Polynomials, Graphs and Circle Geo knowledge when doing 4-unit integration in HSC.

Logarithms and exponents are required at the latter stage of 2-unit and 3-unit HSC Calculus.

Being someone about to enter year 11, you can still learn HSC Calculus, which is a major component for HSC altogether. The longer practice you get, the better you will get.
