Description of son: lazy....leading to terrabad marks only got 55% in 2U wut?
If your son is lazy, what makes you think a tutor will help? A tutor can only work if the student is struggling with the work or if they want to get ahead, motivation and work ethic are largely beyond the scope of tuition. It's like hiring a plumber to fix an electrical problem.

May not happen in many cases but I believe a tutor can spark motivation in some way (if they have it within them).

True, I'm just trying to say that tutoring isnt going to be a magical solution to the probem if the student is lazy. I got the vibe from the OP that they believe that a tutor is somehow going to automatically fix this problem.

Maybe i have changed my mentality towards studying? tutoring will help me catch up the work i have lost due to my "Laziness". Don't need to go all mean you know.

He wasn't trying to be mean all he said was that don't expect JUST tutoring to help you improve. You also must put in the work also.
