Depends on the application:
AWD for actual serious business, you can't beat it for controllability.
RWD for tail out lulz and for anything with a lot of power and a long wheelbase.
FWD has it's place in hot hatches, my best example would be that I actually prefer the Golf GTI to the Golf R as a car for the sheer chuckability.
