Hello All....

How would I sketch the graph of a continuous function with these properties:
* f(1) = f(-3) = 0
* f '(-1) = 0
* f ' (x) > 0 when x < -1
* f ' (x) < 0 when x > -1

Thanks in advance... :)

There are two zeroes, given by f(1)=f(-3)=0.

Is it supposed to be f'(-1)=0?

If so then x=-1 is a minimum turning point.

Then you should get an upside down parabola.

I doubt that it is f'(1)=0.

Yes, it was meant to be -1... Really sorry 'anomalousdecay'... Thanks for your help...:)
