I came =2nd in a subject, yet it's only coming up as 2nd. Should I talk to the school? Or maybe the other girl who came second to see what rank came up on hers?

There's absolutely no difference between coming 2nd or =2nd or =2nd with 50 others. It will say your rank; nothing descriptive about it.
