A quick question on thesis/topic sentences and the internet (1 Viewer)

Sorry if this sounds a bit silly, do we have to make our own thesis statements up or are we allowed to use thesis statements from the internet in the HSC. I have always wanted to ask my teacher but it kept skipping my mind. -.-

You should use good thesis statements you find as a template or guide on creating your own.

If you use thesis statements from the internet then the marker COULD pick up on it. But majority of the time, they won't.

It would be quite foolish to do so as teachers share things...A LOT. Good/excellent thesis statements also do 'the rounds' and are easily identifiable.

It would be disappointing to take cheating encouragement from a BOS student and be found out, or at the least be awarded poor marks for lack of original work.
