I'm considering studying biomedical engineering at Usyd and was wondering how hard the maths is. I am not doing Ext 1 Maths and am wondering if I would be able to cope with the maths. I am in year 11 and I am averaging about ~85-90 in maths. Thanks!

You should be fine for first year MATH100X units.
How does admission work? If I get the required ATAR, but I do not have prior knowledge of the Ext 1 Maths course, would I still be considered for admission?

There are no pre-requisites.

If you're really worried about the math in engineering do a bridging course after your HSC, thats what i plan on doing but in all honesty you shouldn't worry your marks seem fine :D

Finishing first year engineering with having done only 2U and doing the bridging course I can say it's easier than I thought, except for integral calculus (MATH1003) which is second semester. The bridging course only helped a little bit and that was the sections on the binomial theorem and polynomial division a

Calculus part was similar to 4U, linear part could be like 2/3U stuffs. Linear algebra was really straight forward, except the matrix stuffs.
