Long hugs: what do they mean to you?

If a friend you don't know very well
gives you a tight, long hug - what does it mean to you?
Purely platonic?

To me, long hugs symbolise that there is an intimacy between the two people. While it is purely platonic, it still means a lot to me. Long hugs make me feel wanted and loved.
