with that attitude you should buy hot chocolates and try to sweeten up a bit
I feel like I get a cleaner high from black coffee (less prone to distraction and decreased agitation as well as a gentler crash). Plus it's easier to ration out over several hours whereas my mocha's/cappuccino's are usually gone in less than five minutes.

Relying on coffee to keep me awake. ECMT1010 was a waste of time, only showed up so I don't forget the basic stat stuff. Not doing anything until 12 so bumming around in Fisher Library on the computers on the ground floor.

Almost 4 hours travel a day, leaving me with barely anytime outside uni, and concurrent health problems make me question what im doing. Maybe ill have to go part time.

Just a heads up, as far as I'm aware the tutorials for maths and chemistry aren't compulsory, and neither are lectures which you can easily view online for most of your subjects. If I were in your position I'd pack as many of my mandatory classes as I could into one or two days and then study the rest from home.

I definitely recall reading on a USyd website that not attending (first year) maths tutorials could only be held against you if you failed the unit and were looking for a concessional pass. As for chemistry, I'd probably ask your tutor about attendance to be sure.

Also, my sympathies for your condition... I'm still being plagued by the incredibly irritating symptoms of a (currently undiagnosed, seeing my fifth specialist in a few weeks) suspected head/neck injury that I suffered around six months ago.

The three hour commute is only adding fuel to the fire and I feel like I'm being driven insane.

So, all my tut leaders are pretty cool guys. Spent a bit talking to my stat tut leader because I was interested in when we get into the good stuff(hypothesis testing, best thing in stats) and it made me sad because most of that is next semester. But, I'm really disliking Excel rather than using more commonly accepted statistical software(like R, whereas Excel is more just a way to store data normally)

Excel does have statistical packages and it is more commonly used in the workplace simply because it is more user friendly than most statistical software out there.

That wouldn't surprise me. Haven't used R but Minitab seemed so disjointed and poorly designed.

Why does it take you so long to start hypothesis testing though!?
