i enrolled into the bachelor of medical science at USYD and had a few questions:

1) is it necessary/ compulsory to go to orientation week?
2) what there is actually useful?
3) is there anything else i should attend before the 4 of march (beginning of semester )

It is not compulsory to go to O-week.

I think the most valuable thing is to get a feel for the atmosphere and culture of the uni.

No, not really.

I think you all need to be introduced to the concept of compulsory fun

Haha this. Why would you not want to go to Oweek? USYD has like free amusement rids, food and shows-it's like the part of the year I'm looking forward to most. Drinking, getting to know people all before we even have to look at an iota of uni coursework.
