I need help with inequalities
Example

3p+ 2
------- is greater than 4
5p - 3

Multiply both sides by (5p-3)^2 (as in (5p-3) squared) (you can do this without changing the inequality because any real number squared is positive.
and then put everything on one side so it's #$#%$>0
and just solve like normal = Draw the parabola and see where it's greater than 0.

First establish:





So we have found 2 critical points

p=3/5 p=14/17

Now, we need to test points on either side of these 2 critical points and test whether they satisfy the condition

p > 14/17



3/5 < p < 14/17



p < 3/5

If p > 14/17

Plug in 1 to the inequality. You get [3(1) + 2]/[5(1) - 3] > 4

But LHS is 5/2, and 5/2 > 4 is impossible.


Maybe you took the wrong case with your graph?
